Water Baptism

Jesus commanded all those who believed in Him to be baptized in water.           "Then 5 came to them and said, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.            "Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit...  ''' ( Mathew 28:18,19). See also Acts 2:38-41).           To be "baptized" means to be "totally immersed." When a person repents from his sin and believes Jesus died for him, before many witnesses, he (or she) is to be taken to water, put to right under it and brought up again. Why would Jesus command that His believers do such a strange thing?  A. UNDERSTANDING THE MEANING OF WATER BAPTISM          Understanding what water baptism is all about is the key to a victorious and liberated Christian life.           The act of going under the water and rising up from it again is a picture demonstrating what has happened to the Christian beli

PROVISION

Isaiah 58:11 And I will always guide you and satisfy you with good things. I will keep you strong and well. You will be like a garden that has plenty of water, like a spring of water that never runs dry. Your people will rebuild what has long been in ruins, building again on the old foundations. You will be known as the people who rebuilt the walls, who restored the ruined houses. I tell you brethren there is provision in the Lord cause He is God with abounding steadfast love and faithfulness. Everyone who He abides in experienced success in all circumstances and love as well as they formed a peaceful community. Mathew 6,25-34 This is why I tell you not to be worried about the food and drink you need in order to to stay alive, or about clothes of your body. After all, isn't it the body worth more than clothes? Look at the birds: they do not sow seeds, gather a harvest and heaven takes care of them! Aren't you worth much more than birds? Can any of you live a bit longer* b

God's responsibility

God responsibility God's responsibility"This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24" Devotion : There are things that are a prerogative of God; an example is the creation of day and night. This is purely God's responsibility; the Psalmist acknowledged that. When we identify that something is purely the responsibility of God we should rejoice and be glad when He does it. The opening scripture is exhorting believers in Christ Jesus to show appreciation to God for whatsoever He does; no wonder that in the New Testament He said in everything we should give thanks to God (1 Thessalonians 5:17). When we develop the lifestyle of rejoicing and gladness, God causes all things to work together for our good. He will also be prompt with our prayer request because He knows we will give Him the glory. Dear reader, what did you learn from the passage above? Share your comments here!

Walk in Love

Image
"And walk in love, as Christ  has loved us, and has given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. Ephesians 5:2" The opening scripture instructs God's children to walk in love.  It means putting love to work; that is, acting on the love of God. He told us how to act on love: even Christ had loved us. Christ Je>sacrifice His life for us and we need to sacrifice for one another. A good aroma God wants to smell daily is our sacrifice for one another. We should feel the pain or suffering of the brethren even as we share in their joy or rewards. We should have compassion for the weak and poor in our midst and mister to their needs. Dear readers, how far do you sacrifice for the brethren? Share your comments here! The Love of God God is love Walk in love "For God love the world that he gave his only begotten son so that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life" John 3:16 Because of Christ once again

Spiritual nakedness

Image
Rev 3:14-22. Spiritual nakedness is an attitude of "I am/want to be rich"; I have acquired wealth"; " I have no other need" (v17) Now that covid-19 has confined man's focus into economy and health, it is easy for a believer to lose the passion to fellowship with the Lord and become spiritual naked.
